Peds have become legal in FL?

I want to get a stand on the goped gas scooter, Is it legal to drive around the block? Or go to the store?

This is from the Florida Department of Transportation. I think it is the closest thing you'll find with respect to Go-Ped applicable law. If I understand well, it seems The Florida DOT acknowledges that the Go-Peds and bikes, for the purposes of DOT Act: "Every vehicle propelled solely by human power, and every motorized bicycle propelled through a combination of human power and an electric helper motor capable of propelling the vehicle at a speed not exceeding 20 miles per hour on a flat surface on which every person may ride, having two tandem wheels, including any device generally recognized as a bicycle but equipped with two front or two rear wheels. The term is one such vehicle a seat height of no more than 25 inches off the ground when the chair is adjusted to the highest position or a scooter or similar device. No person under the age of 16 operate or ride on a motorized bicycle. "As such, Go-Peds are subject to all laws and regulations on the use of bicycles and travel. There are also local regulations stricter well. So the short answer, as far as I understand it, is that Go-Peds are legal, and yes, you can ride them around the block or to the store. But if a motorist should you obey the road laws. And, as a "cyclist", you have the proper protective gear. Please read the details on the DOT website.
