How do I get my 125cc scooter faster?

I've got the formula ITALJET 125cc scooter. I was just starting 20 to30 mph tops on. 20 mph in Hill, 25 to 30 mph on a flat surface. I've looked at the spec and my scooter was going 50 mph + I'm too slow on the roads (40 mph to 60 mph most of the trip). I need my scooter to get to college. Can anyone give me some ideas?

20 MPH is quite sad, even for 125cc. Your weight will be a huge factor and you did not mention what it is. If you weigh 300 pounds, it can be normal for your scooter. If not, and if the engine sounds normal to check the throttle link to your carbohydrate and make sure that they are still full of travel and a good response. Fouled plug could also steal their power.
