Obtaining parts for motorcycles
Tune-up does not require replacement ignition coil. Sometimes you have to replace the spark plug caps at the ends of wires, though. The resistance value should be around 5K ohms. Honda Tune into the assembly is generally plugs, points and condensers in them, as a set. The number of miles you have a bike engine and overall care, which had done a lot of difference in what you need and what else can for you in a while.
Tools that come in the kit, if complete, it is difficult to you to repair / tune-up. If you custom bike, you need to know about how to fix and have the tools to do the job. You can go to Wal-Mart, Costco and elsewhere, and get giant tool packages for $ 100 or less, which gets going pretty well. Impact Driver with a good selection of bits Hammer would be a good investment! Steel screws, resting in aluminum threads, so long the corrosion control fibers, which can spell difficulties in some cases.
Cables are now 33 years old .... about time for a change! If your bike is 1973 CB350G, then it has front disc brakes, which has its own problems of maintenance. The same CB350F. "Regular" CB350 twins cable operated drum brakes.
You can get a lot of things on eBay, where tune-up parts to go. You must specify the exact model, of course, than to move forward, plus a good tune-up guide and / or shop manual will be useful. I have in PDF format, Minor Tune-up guide which is a reprint from Cycle Guide magazine special booklet, but it applies only to CB350 Twins. Principles of engine tuning are all the same but the details between 2 and 4 cylinder bikes are somewhat different distribution components.
If you used some sort of stable or stabilizer gasoline for the winter, carbohydrates should be fine. I would drain and fill the tank with fresh gasoline. Yamaha carbohydrate cleaner, which is mixed with gasoline and then drive down the carbohydrate fuel line cleaned parts float bowl when it is together. Depends on what kind of status in part, though. Honda carbohydrates have a number of O-rings inside that need replacing after 33 years!
What you do, and this may require some changes on your part is to find a solid mount kit bag for the round and then go to a motorcycle salvage yard and see what they have that you want. You will probably have to repaint, but that requires that the wind-free place to work and a little Light sanding and paint and a few hours.
Alternatively, if you know how to work with fiberglass, you can build bags that you yourself, but this is a long-term project that will eat up much of their free time to fast. You can also look at some of catalog sites. In addition, try some of the e-group and Kawasaki Vulcan. There are many specialized e-groups where specific brands et al. Look there, how can there be someone who is getting rid of the file that will work on a bicycle. This will certainly be cheaper than new.
Honda largely washed their hands of responsibility to supply parts for about 10 years after production. They have a thousand dozens of different models and variants of many of those, so parts and manufacturing considerations are overwhelming in every case.
Honda has a vintage parts division, apparently in Japan who make small quantities of certain items, are still on equipment such as exhaust systems for some four. CB750 especially. CMS in the Netherlands is linked them to some extent and almost had to remake the missing # 2 pipe for 350Fs but got the price too high.
Companies as the peak of the cycle, retrobikes and several other Asian companies to remake some items. You will not see any new crank shaft, or cases from Honda or anyone else. Production tools and this is today time is too expensive.
I have a source in Australia, which makes a new dream and CB77 mufflers from stainless steel.
It is a small company and is willing to do in-house tool was the production of parts, but it's still close to retirement, and that source dries up one day. Company in NZ is a beautiful new CB77 mufflers a few years back, but the supply is now gone, I believe, and do not seem to be interested in the next time you start again.
If there is sufficient demand, someone usually steps up and has a chance with the parts But there are so many parts on the bike, and so many models, it is impossible to expect that the supply line for 40 + years old Motorcycles will continue indefinitely. Brit bikes and scooters remained relatively unchanged for many years, so that those parts is less stretch than doing Honda camshafts for 250-305s ... there were three versions of spline only on those parts.
