Moped / Scooter Chain, just buy from the hardware store?
Hi, I just bought a scooter to keep safe in London, were beyond the control of ABUS Security Chains, etc. .. wonder what's to stop me buying a large chain from the hardware shop and padlock? What is the difference? In addition £££... or am I missing something ... PS anyone know a good place to buy either in central London? Thanks!
Dear coated cables are much more difficult to pass. If you buy a chain and locked from the hardware store to see how easily official pieces of chain with a chain cutter, and look around and see Chain store sells the same unit. If you value the moped or scooter simply pay more for extra protection.
