Any suggestions for the first round? Scooter?

I am looking for my first round. 45 years young stay at home mom, 5'8 "240 lbs. I am considering scooter vs. motorcycle. Yes, I know the weight problem. Mainly for running errands around our rural town. I like the Honda Silver Wing, or something similar. This is my last breath is young! But I'm not stupid. I'll take the safety course. I was literally dreaming about bikes about once a month for years ... finally decided to plunge. My husband will get a Gold Wing trike this summer and would like to take long rides with him and our 8 year son. Please, no nasty comments, that hurts. PS stupid question ... Do you ride on the road or shoulder with a scooter, I see them sometimes on the side ... but I'm looking at the larger scooters,

Hey kid, I am a 57 year. old working woman who is now riding for 2 years. only. I do not know why everybody seems is recommended as a giant wheel. I began with Stella, a two-stroke, 150cc manual shift and had a hard time with it (although I take safety course.) I'm back again and got a Honda Metro instead. It is a 50cc automatic and go ABT 40 mph - very easy to handle, great for around town errands and no motorcycle license required. I recently decided that it was not enough on the bike and moved to KYMCO People S 200th I highways, not freeways. Sounds like a Honda Reflex scooter would be great for yours. Automatics are very nice! And why get a bigger bike than you need - more dangerous and difficult to manage? Look at urbanscootin.com for friendly helpful people with different wheels and useful Board.
