Small filter tank floating in a moped ... What is it?
I was removing rust from the tank of my motorcycle. When flushing with H20, vinegar, and gas are not doing the trick, I used a large pipe cleaner and scrubbed the tank. After filling it with water to flush again, there was a small plastic cylinder about 4 "long and 1 cm in diameter, floating in my tank. I managed it by grabbing it with scissors. My screen runs along the length of the war. I have 2 stroke engine. I fear it is the oil filter? or something important inside the tank itself (which seems strange to me). For sure, my motorcycle is the 2005 Geel 50QT-15 if it means anything. Please help. I have no idea what that is, but of course I knocked it loose from the tank when I was cleaning the pipe cleaner. Thanks.
It is the fuel filter, that plugs into the petcock. Remove the air vent and you should see where it goes.
