Is it safe to ride a motorcycle / scooter as daily transportation?
I want to get a motorcycle (probably Buell blast because I'm short and it looks cool bike), I used to drive him to school and work almost every day, and yet have my car, save on gas. My mom and friends think I'm crazy because I get killed because drivers do not for cyclists or notification. I live in Fort Worth, Texas, truck and SUV country so I'm afraid it's too dangerous, but I really want to be able to ride it. The school is about 10 miles from my house and I can either take the side of busy streets or traffic-filled highways. Also I was riding at night, and I do not know if it's a safe one. I really precausious and will always wear the gear and take a bike course and class.
DO IT! I drive 16 miles each way to work every day on busy streets and roads. I save more than $ 200 a month on my Harley. I was in many hair and were affected earlier. Is a chance that you enjoy your commute! Take safety course and learn to look at other vehicles. Good luck and do not worry.
