Can I add batteries to the electric moped go faster if it will damage the engine?

Got voy electric moped. It came with a set of three 12 V battery. Will add more batteries to increase voltage to be faster or dammage engine? How many other 12 V battery is ok to add, if any?

Depending on the quality of the engine, you could ad 1 large battery pack to 48volt. However, you have to get 48 volts charger and motor controller that will operate on 48 volts battery voltage. Note the decrease in EV Parts for more information.
